Master Suite and Bedroom additions and renovations are among the most valuable home improvements we see in this area of the country. That has a lot to do with the age of housing stock as well as the availability of land. We also believe that this type of project has short and long term value because many homes simply don’t have this sought after amenity. It was such a luxury in the 60’s to have a toilet and sink in the master, and the 70’s soon followed with the inclusion of a petite shower! Today, master suites have gone through a period of super-sized (sound familiar) to just right. The current trend is to minimize furnishings, have ample but not oversized sleeping quarters, built-in storage, larger closets and the jet tubs are a 40/60 item now since most people just don’t have the time to enjoy them..
